Lesson 1- Taking Photos of Firework

When 
In Singapore , fireworks performance can be seen when National Day (August 9) is around the corner and when it is the last day of each year. 

Where 
Around CBD area.

How
  1. Plan the composition that you want to capture with the fireworks.
  2. Check out road closure (if there are any) and set off early.
  3. Bring plenty of food and drinks, as you will be "camping" there.
  4. Set up the tripod.
  5. Set camera picture control to vivid. (Saturation +3,Sharpening +5) ==> Thanks to kenrockwell
  6. Set camera to Manual Mode
  7. Capture with the finest quality with RAW file that your camera allows. RAW will allow you to overlay image directly from your camera. Click here to see example.
  8. Switch camera's auto focus off and set it infinity
  9. Use aperture range of f6-f16 . (smaller f-stop when less burst of firework and otherwise)
  10. Set Shutter Speed to bulb mode and use shutter release for duration between 3-5sec.
  11. Keep shooting !!!! Dont stop !!! 
Note: Alternative way for people for not having shutter release is to set timer of 2 sec to prevent blur shots and continuous taking of 3-5 shots of the exposure set. This way is not recommended but i tried this once and the success rate is not very good.
